White oak floating top dining table
This modern design showcases a floating table top with streamlined legs and frame. The piece is made entirely from premium quarter sawn white oak.
The table top elegantly floats 1/2 inch above the legs, just enough to be visible from all sides. To further accentuate this effect, we replaced the traditional bulky table apron that typically sits inches from the table edge with a narrower ladder frame that is deeply inset and nearly invisible from most angles.
As with all our products, this was a highly collaborative effort with our client, where sitting styles (straight/cross legged, formal/relaxed) and use cases (number of diners, seating arrangments, chairs/benches) were measured, accounted for, and personalized in the final design.
This piece measures 7 feet long x 36 inches wide x 1 1/4 inch thick and stands 30 inches tall.
